for me:
once i was born into this world, i had an identification number: S8727XXXX (not to disclose any information)
the moment i stepped into primary school, i had my index number: 13 /9 / 11 / etc (it keeps changing as i went into different classes). this index numbering system accompanied me all the way to JC.
when i stepped into chinese high, i had my own email address. but my id was also bounded by letters and numbers: 00chs145.
JC was alright.. cant remember much.
and then there was army.. it was back to S8727XXXX followed by your rank and name, with my life! (blah)
after i ORD and started working in recruit express, i was not called by Eugene, but instead by my sales code.. SJQ.
and then as i moved on into SMRT, i realised that the perm staffs had their employee numbers too.. some 4 digit/ 5 digit numbers. and the SLs (bus drivers) do not address themselves by their surnames but by their employee numbers, which made them sound like prisoners sometimes. why the need?
and now that i have completed my pre-registration for nus.. i am awarded an user id and student number.
HAI, yet another combination of numbers and letters.
lol.. zzz.
random post.
p.s. pls make my cough gone.. seriously. i am coughing my lungs out of it.. sucks.
