havent been here for a while. time for some updates..
went for NUS open house last sat. i was glad that i went.. even though it was a short while. at least i have an idea of what i am going to major in uni.. (yea for those who dont know, i dont have an "official" major.. i choose it when i bid for my modules) also had a trip around the campus, as well as a trip around halls and stuff. visited sheares hall. it was quite an experience.. i suppose things are gonna get happening when i go to hall.. but isit necessary? will i have time to study? or will it be supperday everyday?
and i have been doing abit of soul-searching on what i am going to do in the future. in the past it was just strictly teaching teaching and teaching. it was somehow fate that made me realise that there are other jobs that i can venture into, instead of teaching - 2 rejections from MOE scholarship on 2 consecutive years slapped me hard on both my cheeks. since then i have been thinking about my future, what will i be? what can i foresee myself 10 yrs down the road? the answer seemed abit elusive. it was always a conflict between my interests and my future jobs prospects. 1 year later, i think i have a vague idea. to work at manufacturing ind specialising in RnD, then do a mid-career switch to teach if it doesnt work out. but still i must give myself a hou lu.. just in case path A fails. i met dr choe to get the referee's report from him. i shared my views with him and he agrees if what i say. so now hope that evreything will turn well for me.
last fri was zinc's 19th birthday. celebrated at this ulu kbox.. called b-box at toa payoh safra. the envt just so so nia but we sing until very high.. or rather i sing until very high. took quite a number of photos and i m still waiting for mr cj to sync it in our sharing folders. hope you enjoy yourself teacher teo!
it has been a happening period during channelnewsasia.. so much hot news nowadays. let's see. the hunt for mas selamat, and the new rules for fetching passengers for taxis in CBD areas to malaysian elections, tibetian riots with china and upcoming taiwan elections. i shall not go much into the politics part but i have been thinking about the hunt for the terror. so many days already yet he cant be found. something's fishy. and yet details cannot be disclosed to the public due to security reasons.. which makes me puzzled everytime i think about it. it all boils down to the basic question - how did he escape? where were the security cameras? where were the guys on patrol? how did a guy who's limping manage to get out from the heavy security? i hope that there will be an answer soon.
work has been starting to get busy, not that im complaining. but one of our staffs has tendered and is going some place where the grass is much greener. i am wishing her all the best but at the same time why does all the work pile onto me???? yesteaday was my first time using SAP and man it was such a horrible programme.. nearly died using it. just keying in information for 24 pple took me 1.5 days.. zzz sucks.
i wanted to wait to upload the photos but the synchronising photo is taking such a long time to transfer the photos.. think i'll stop here! cant wait for thurs to come. seriously.. it's good friday!
