probably the last entry of the year. better make it a good one.
i can remember vaugely that CJ and i were having some conversations in bunk last year.. we were talking about how we yearned for the year 2007 to come. CJ said something like "i can't wait for 2007 to come.. cus it's the year that we ORD!" and i was like "hm still got like 11 more months loh.. wait long long."
and now that we have ORDed for 2 months and counting. time really flew past us unknowingly. 2007 seemed to pass by so slowly yet so quickly. had been waiting for the end of the year to come. day by day, week by week, month by month. and time and tide waits for no man. and here i am sitting in front of the comp as time ticks past second by second, getting closer to the end of the year as i type this entry.
as compared to 2006, 2007 was less fun i should say. getting used to unit life, the monotonous lifestyle. the responsibilities and duties of a spec and of course gearing up for ATEC.. the "highlight" of the 2 years of my NSF life. there were good and bad times. but most importantly i really wanna thank our fellow specs. for being there when i was down. for working hard and playing hard. for working together towards our goal of ORDing happily!
another highlight of the year was our getaway trip to taiwan. at the point of time where there were no one to control us. we were kings. no extras or standbys or anything. we went crazy doing funny stuffs. esp what happened after clubbing at plush. oh man.. it shall be remembered for a long time.
the next phase of my life was entering the real working world. working at RE. as a temp RC.. met colleagues. and it was no more holiday. work was tough and hopefully it would be rewarding. and it brought me away from army life. learnt to speak more culturedly (if there's such a word). more fluent english haha..
reflections time. this year has taught me to treasure those around me. i know that i tend to take things for granted. many pple have given me help and support along the way when i fell down and met obstacles. but now at the working world i guess it's up to my own. i know lots of uncertainties and crosspaths will be coming my way. and i need to believe more in myself to make decisions.
in around 24 hrs' time, 2008 is coming. may 2008 be a better year for me. in terms of my work and studies when i enter uni. and also for my health and my family and friends.
