there's something about MAF that brings crowds back into hwachong every year. and this year isnt any exception. by 7+pm the whole central plaza was filled with hwachongians from all batches. the lightings were pretty (imho it was better than last year's lightings) and after 3 years i managed to see the light up!
i enjoyed this year's song and dance session particularly more than the previous years. maybe it's because my impression of song and dance sessions during the previous years have become faded and more vague. but as far as i can remember, i have never danced so happily.. ever since i was in j1. even though the whole group of us were trying to figure out the dance steps for the single and couple dances.
so.. what's the thing about MAF that brnigs crowds back? im sure it's the place, and most importantly the nostalgia. people may change. but being back in the same place, the same class bench, the same central plaza and the same basketball court brings back jc memories for me. and it never fails to make me feel like im a jc student all over again. when we started forming circles and sang the college songs, somehow all your problems go away for that very moment and you feel like you are back to become a hwachong student again. a carefree one without much responsibility and stress.
but of course all good things must come to an end. somehow i wished this year's maf could be a little longer (i thought this year's ended much earlier than the previous years).. and it seems that there are lesser and lesser seniors coming back to maf. which's pretty sad. nevertheless, i enjoyed myself totally. if only maf could happen every week.. hurhur. im so glad i went. and i'll be back next year.
