im currently in the coy's i-net using the computer. so shiok right. dont envy me ok.. cus the rest of the coy had nights out! ARGH so sian ok.. just because i reported sick yesterday. thanks to the fever in the middle of the night and the unbearable bodyache, sniffy and runny nose thanks to my flu. ARGH. and thanks to that i didnt do the 16km route march. ARGH! so sian lah. while the rest of the coy were happily singing songs while marching inside the camp, i was happily cleaning the coy office and then cleaning my rifles. zzZ.
att b = saigang warrior sia. sians!!!!!
and i didnt do anything today also. except being placed as a sentry for this run for selected master sgts and WOs for this exchange prog b/w US and SG. basically to get into this programme they had to run 20km in 3 hours. if that sounds easy, wait. they had to run in FBO aka FULL BATTLE ORDER. like wth lah. normal people like us march for 20km also take longer than 3 hours sia. not to say RUN. and these MSGs and WOs are like how old already. then they run until they really want to die. my heart ached for them and i really respected them sia. "i overcome adversity with my fighting spirit." how true..
well, i was posted there from 6.30am all the way until 11am. a total of 4.5 hours. luckily for me there was this NS man (reservice) being placed as a sentry too. he's a 2SG, 31 and he works as an engineer. we had a fun time talking about everything under the sun. from his work to HC to golf to.. army. haha thanks to him it wasn't very boring for me. :) after the sentry i watched the coy having ICCT. basically it was a tekaning session lah. not that i dont want to say, but these CCT pple are just corporals and yet they think they are very big shot. they treat privates exactly the same way as they treat recruits sia. without any much respect. actually the programme itself was fun. but it was the 3 instructors that spoilt everything. owells -shrugs-
oh before i forget. on monday we had AOC (additional obstacle course) and COC (confidence obstacle course). COC was crap. like playground liddat. but AOC was challenging, especially the 5m canvas jump. basically as the name suggests we had to jump down from a 5-metre platform and land on a canvas which was pulled taut by 28men. the experience was excruciating. everything was fine until i climbed up to the platform and looked down. and for a moment i wanted to back out. my knees were as wobbly as jelly and my heart was beating like no-one else's business. it felt even scarier when i put 1 leg out in the air and prepared for the jump. but somehow i picked up the courage and put the other leg forward into the air and POOF IT BECAME COCO-CRUNCH! no lah. and i just fell down. luckily not much injury when i landed on the canvas, thanks to my platoon mates :) but something bad happened to mr bean. he didnt land properly and as a result he dislocated his elbow. omg.. everyone just went O.O as he was screaming in deep pain.. hope he recovers soon yea :)
after that in the evening i had this happy hour thingy. basically it was a steamboat dinner. for section 3 the dinner sucked lah. the soup rarely boiled and thanks to mr old man winston tan the steamboat was full of EGGS. eyeur. imagine that. but the good thing was that we had beer :) but then again the beer was army beer, so anyone can imagine how awful it tasted. nevertheless i drank like 3 cans lah. nothing better to do. and that's where my flu worsened and my fever developed :(
ok lah.. now one of my sgts is also using the computer beside me and he's cursing and swearing any moment. before he sees me writing bad stuffs about him i better stop here. tata. hope to have a new entry soon.
